About us

Hi, my name is Austin. Too many good ideas die at the building stage, because getting a real product made is hard, slow, and expensive. Tovan’s aim is to make that the easy part, for founders, engineers, and hobbyists alike.

Tovan (pronounced “TOH-ven”) draws from the Dutch toveren, “to conjure through magic,” and the Old French trover, “to invent or compose.” Together, they mean turning an idea into something real, like magic.

It has been shaped by a lot of help from friends, family, and early users. I ship fixes and updates nearly every day, so if something does not look right or is missing, just shoot me an email at austin@tovan.ai. I read everything.

There has never been an easier time to build. I can’t wait to see what you create.
